Traveling the Oregon and Santa Fe Trails

Chad's lesson is designed to review the purpose of the Santa Fe and Oregon Trail. Students will also expand their knowledge of each trail and put a plan together for a trip on each trail. This plan will include a packing list for their wagons. The students will use primary sources to help form their plans and packing list.

Turning Points of the Civil War

Tom's lesson is designed to give students a chance to review the four turning points of the Civil War. They are then asked to explain the significance of these events in their own words. Students will use a variety of primary source documents in their research. They will also be using technology to present their findings.
